Hello my patient Family and Friends. I've got photos loaded and ready to post so.. I figured I needed to get to gettin' with them or I'll reach a point of no return.. so.. without further ado.. lets get caught up!
A few weeks ago Jules and I went to a local gymnastics center and she got to play on their equipment. We've been before with a friend but this time we went alone and made a few new friends.
I've been calling her Monkey alot lately.. the photo above is just a sample of why...
Then she ran, she bounced.. she fell... and Mommy laughed.
This is the best part. We snuggled. Did you happen to catch her outfit in any of the pictures? Why do I ask? Well.. she's been dressing herself lately and I find her love of stripes and patterns absolutley fantastic!
A little bit later that day we broke out the paints and Jules got creative..
We've been working on 'no picking' but the evidence here shows Mommy lost the battle that day.. be sure to pay close attention to her left arm in the bottom right corner.. it was blue the whole way around and between any crevices she could find on, in and around her fingers.. Mommy had to laugh! Thank the Lord I have a good sense of humor.. (Jason would argue that but.. it's just his I have a problem understanding)! We had a snowstorm last week. I think we got somewhere around 10-12". Jason had thankfully left the day before for training so he didn't a) have to travel too much in it's nastiness and b) have to shovel. We were fortunate it was on a weekend so Jules went to hang with our neighbors for an hour while I shoveled the main portion of the driveway and a small path on the sidewalk. I quit for a break before tackling the 2 1/2-3' drifts the snow plow had created at the bottom of the drive and bless him, our neighbor from a few doors down came along with his snowblower and cleared it out for me along with the remaining snow on the sidewalk. Jules and I later tried to take some thank you cookies to him but we missed him. Since it was so cold and he's got a dog I didn't want to leave them on the back stoop so.. maybe next time.
It's hard to give an idea of how bad the snow was but it was wet and heavy. So heavy that the tree in the back yard was nearly touching the ground with all of it's branches. If you look close enough you can see where it was pulling on the electric line. I was so worried it would snap but when looking at the mast from the neighbors house, it was holding up beautifully with all the stress and weight!
This is a better view of the electric line, it's coming off of the house in the left of the picture, runs behind the basketball hoop and right into the tree.. when I walked out to knock the snow off the cable line (see that big blob of white line behind the electric line, that's the cable) I literally could have reached up and touched the electric line. Scary. Normally that babies a good 10-15 feet off the ground.
Here's the bean all dressed up to play at the neighbors! Despite the expression on her face in this photo she was having a blast! She loves snow!
Just sharing this to let you know how safe driving conditions were.. 2 days after the storm! Yikes! That's about it for now. I've got some Sesame Street Live shots to share but I'm saving those for my next post.. no worries.. going to start working on that one next!
Take care!
Ang
