A year ago today I whispered to you, 'Happy Birthday Julia'.
It was just you and I snuggled together in the hospital room while Daddy lay sleeping on the couch next to us.
Our room was lit by the soft glow of the nightlight and you had just filled your belly with Mama's warm milk.
You and me and that small beautiful moment.

Our year together has been filled with such joy and wonder. I have watched you grow from a small helpless baby into such a curious infant.
Screams of pain and frustration let loose from the same lips that scream in joy and wonder! Giggles that only Daddy can bring forth from your sweet belly!
You have brought such wonder into my life little one. Through the ups and downs.. (it's not all sunshine and daisies!).. the laughter and the tears.. the spit ups and the blow outs.. the food fights and the laughter.. your Daddy and I have loved and enjoyed each and everyone of these moments we've shared together.
My birthday wish for you is to feel the love you are surrounded with, take joy from the life you are to live and feel the happiness in the simplest pleasures little one.
