No, I did not give her the nickname. It was an unfortunate day at daycare where there was an incident with the diaper and clothes needing to be changed.. aka.. blowout!
Her teacher had set her on the floor and another one noticed how darn cute she was in her diaper only and started chuckling over her baby rolls... and the other teacher got to looking and laughing and they decided she was their little baby sumo.
We had her 9 month check up on Monday March 1st. She was hitting all the percentiles they like to compare babies too right on the money.. except when it came to her height. She's in the 8th percentile of her age group. Meaning, in the Pediatricians words, if he had her in a room of other girls born on May 19,2009 and lined them all up.. Julia would be the 8th shortest. 92 other girls would be taller than her.
Poor thing.. so far.. has drawn the short end of the stick. Here's to hoping she hits a growth spurt the next few months.. I've been saying all along she's gonna be a shortie like her Nana since her feet are so small.. looks like I might have been more on the money than I thought. So, here's to our little baby sumo! Love you sweetie!
