Weeks 15 1/2, 16 I'm getting caught up!

Whew! What a busy time we've been having! Hope you have a minute or two and some patience for we're about to do a whirlwind of catching up!

On Wednesday, the 2nd, Julia and I were pretty adventurous and roadtripped with Uncle Ben, down to visit our Grandparents in Washington, KS. It was Julia's first time down to their farm and we had a blast! Grandma and Grandpa treated all of us to a tasty lunch at the Swirly Top Cafe where, of course, we had to show off little Miss. Julia to the lunchtime crowd!
We came back to the house, piddled around a bit, played with the kitties they have running around and laughed as their 'baby', Lucy the wonder dog, kept trying to assert her position on Grandma's lap while Grandpa was holding Julia!! Silly girl! Before we began our trek back home, we headed back out to the Swirly and introduced Julia to the afternoon coffee and ice cream crowd!

That night, lucky me, I got sick again. Will it ever end? I worried that I was a carrier and may have infected Grandma and Grandpa but so far, no illnesses have been reported! Yeah! Jason and Julia got a case of the sniffles shortly after my illness but thankfully, no more flu like issues!

That Saturday, Mom came up and she, Lakey, Julia and I went on a small shopping spree together. It was a beautiful day and we each found a little something to bring home for our treat! Yippee!

That evening, Mom and I took advantage of Dad's Nebraska football tickets and went to the first game of the season. I had joked to Mom, with nursing Juila, we would probably make it at the end of the 1st quarter and have to leave by the 3rd! Guess what? We made it to our seats with a minute 28 seconds left in the first quarter and had to leave about 8 mintues into the third! I was just joking but we realized our trek from the car to the stadium was about 30 minutes so.. we needed to allow enough time to get home before Jason had to go to work that night and so that I could feed Julia. Thus, the early departure!

Ok..hmm week 16. Yikes! It was my heavy week at work so not a whole lot went on. The most activity we had was on Saturday. Nana was up for a short visit before Julia went out on her bi-weekly adventures with her Grandma and Grandpa Jack! They went to the Sunken Gardens and then headed off to Pioneers Park! They have such fun activities planned when they spend the day together and I have such fun hearing about them! I keep imagining when she's about 2-3 years old, hanging onto Grandpa Jack's hand as they take a walk through the wooded paths surrounding their home and coming back to the house where Grandma has baked her favorite goodies! Such smiles I have pictured in my head!

This picture is from one of their last outings and I love it! She looks like she's contemplating whether or not she's ready for another adventure or for a bottle!

I've got some great news to share for week 17 but for now, I'm sure your eyes are tired so I'll give it a day or two and then break out the Ta Da's!
