29 weeks

Week 29 has come and is almost gone! We had our monthly check up on Tuesday the 3rd and Baby's heartbeat ranged from 144 to 148, Doc said we were growing just fine..and was kind enough not to chastise me for the extra pounds I gained above and beyond the allotted 4 a month. Darn girl scout cookies. They just seemed to have a life of their own and pop right into my mouth, all without any assistance from me! Really!!

Other than the girlscout cookie instance(s), last week was pretty calm. I got to see my good friend, Kathy, who was passing through town on Tuesday and then had another call that night to go to a late movie with another girlfriend Heather! Mom was up on Saturday for a little bit so I was able to show off our nursery progress so far. Thankfully she was paying attention to details and noticed we had our 'box springs' screwed into the crib upside down! Whoops! Easily corrected though and on Sunday we were able to place our newly purchased crib mattress into the crib. I got so excited that I had to pull out the crib skirt and matching sheet to put it all together. Then we had to stand there a little bit and smile! Twelve more weeks or so and little Baby Runge will be resting his/her weary head there!

Other than that, our picture of the week is Riley. She won tops down for cute picture of the week doing a pose that I have since learned is called 'Faceplant' which is exactly as it sounds. Faces planted firmly face down while sleeping. It' s a miracle she could breath like that! There's a website called, stuff on my cat .com, and I guess they have contests for the best faceplant poses of kitties. I think Riley's is by far the best but I may be a bit prejudiced!
