Gobble Gobble!

We spent Thanksgiving Day down on the farm.

Hailey and Lexi got to drive down with Jules,
Kameron, Papa Reggie and I.

It was a good trip.

Jules and Hailey played car games with me.
Lexi grabbed onto Papa's hand and held it pretty much the whole way.

We played and explored while dinner was being made Ben climbed up into the old Tractor.
Jules was first in line to hop into the cab with him.
{She was so excited!}

A bit later, while Ben and Kari worked on getting the Tractor fired up,
Uncle Kameron joined the girls and I on a walk in the pastures behind the house.
We had to be awfully careful for cow chips.
Even brave little explorer girls squeal once they know what those things are. : )

We stopped along the way and picked up 'pretty' flowers.
Lots of seed blowing ensued.

Hailey had it down to a science...

Jules is still working on her craft..
In her defense.. they were stubborn dandelions.
: )

View of the main barn from the back corner of the pasture.
The memories..Home.

Jules.. our beautiful flower child.

Usually, Jules and Lex chase after Hailey.
This trip though, Lex chased after Jules.
Jules at first was still all over adoring Hailey but eventually,
she noticed Lex reaching for her more and more and they started to hang out together.
They were little buds the rest of the trip.
No worries though.
There was still plenty of Hailey love going on between the three!

Biens got the Tractor up and running!
He and Kari took it for it's seasonal run!
{{by the way.. CONGRATULATIONS! my big brother got ENGAGED!!}}
{{{so, so, so very excited for them both!}}}

The Three Stoogettes!
They climbed atop an old tree trunk.
Balance was key!
Gentle Hailey.
Determined Lexi.
Pirates! Argh!
That poor pine tree took such a beating.

Did I say Stooges?
I meant Monkeys!
Monkeys, monkeys, Monkeys!
I loved how all three girls were more than happy to get dirty while playing and exploring.

Lex, can you get any cuter?
See the bunny?
The girls adored the bunny.
Loved the bunny really.

This guy?
Yeah, this guy.
I got to drive him Thanksgiving day.
I know as a kid, Grandpa let me ride in the cab(s).
Combines, Tractors.
But I Don't remember ever driving one by myself.
Well.. with Biens encouragement.
He talked me through the things I needed to do,
let me do them, and I did it.
Sounds silly but I was grinning like a Loon.

Hope your Turkey day was as great as ours was!
Love, Loon
