Kool-Aid Days!

Did you know that a festival of this nature exists? No? Well good then.. I don't feel so bad.. well, maybe I should, it is in my hometown for goodness sakes...
Jules and I were able to attend this years festival with Nana. It was big, loud and oh so overwhelmingly sweet... I'm not kidding about the overly sweet.. someone got really happy with the sugar!

We picked up a few souvenir mugs and Nana was able to get her a little t-shirt to commemorate the day.. what is it about kiddos in overly big t-shirts that is just so darn adorable? One of life's wonderful mysteries.. cause she is stinkin' cute when she's in that thing with her sleeves all the way past her elbows!

Anywho.. onwards to our photo journey. Introducing The big Man himself in his Macy's Day Parade best. She wasn't scared of him at all. Walked right up to him, neck craned all the way back just staring.
To of been able to hear her thoughts at that moment.. what must have been going through her mind.. all I can imagine is utter awe and this little childlike voice going... woowwwwww.

She got inked!
She picked through a few really cute tats until she found the 'fishy'.

This was the highlight of our journey though. The Union Pacific Railroad train ride. She was so patient with me. I kept throwing the poor kid in front of the engine trying to get a shot of her before the engineer got ready to take off for the next go round.

She and Nana went on a little journey.
Toot Toot!

...she even sat on the caboose.. more of Mom flinging her into the photo opportunity than her desire to be there.. poor kid.

After an afternoon nap, we headed down to the park near Nana's house. There is this little wading pool she's been so excited for us to try and we had a great time. The water was no higher than her her hips and she had such fun when we swung her in circles!

The kid is a sucker for water! Loves it!

After the pool we strolled over to the pond and fed the ducks. It was a nice end to a happy day.

Aunt Kiki joined us before we headed back to Nana's. Jules had to show off her 'tat'.

Hindsight is a kicker though. As I loaded up these photos.. I recognize the signs of an oncoming ear infection. She was so tired. She didn't complain at all. She was just a little under the weather. Not quite her happy overly energetic self.

Three months guys. We went three months without pain and antibiotics. I think it was just too much, go- go- go, and not enough time to rest between our vacation, daycare and trip to see the big kahuna.

Of course.. the Doctors disagree in the nicest way possible.. sort of. On Tuesday the 6th we go back to see her ENT. He had given her an extended does of antibiotics on top of what her pediatrician gave her a few weeks back.

She's been a sweetheart with the growl of a lioness this last week. Long term antibiotics are having some unwanted side effects and there's not a darn thing I can do about it. More than likely we'll be getting another round of tubes placed in her ears.

It's been suggested to also remove her adenoids.. I can't explain it but... everything inside of me says no to this. I know it's been done over and over again successfully but.. still. I don't know. I'll have to cross that bridge when it's an actuality and not a suggestion. No need borrowing trouble.

So, on Tuesday.. say a prayer, send happy healthy thoughts our way if you would please and hopefully we'll hear some positive news.

Take care, Love Ang
