The first week in August we had a family reunion to attend in Des Moines. I know, I know... most people grumble when it's family reunion time but.. Jason's relatives know how to have a fantastic getaway to catch up and meet the newest members!
A little background here.. see.. every 3 years, everyone converges on one set place to get together and explore the area that was pre-determined from the previous reunion. It doesn't stop there either. The 'host' family will set up a loose itinerary for everyone to pick and choose if they'd like to participate in all the on going activities or just a few.
We did the majority but skipped one or two things. So... I've said it before.. buckle up and enjoy the show! I've got more than a few gazillion photos to share!
The Night Before Departure:

Our first stop after we dropped some baggage off at the Hotel was to Adventureland. I wasn't sure how I felt about a theme park.. you know.. me being a chicken and all regarding adrenaline pumping rides that go straight up in the air, around and about and zippity doo dah all day long.... but... I had a blast!

Each go round, I'd see this flying yellow blur and every once in a while.. this little brown haired head popping over the safety bar with the biggest smiles!!!

Truckin' Jules.... we've got the best video of her 'driving' the caravan. The kid manning the ride was so nice and let her sit all the way up front.. so.. essentially.. she was leader of the pack!
I know.. I know... you can hardly see her face here but... dude.. did you get a look at the girls face up top?? No idea who she is but... oh my wordlessness.... :)
Teacup ride for Mommy, Daddy and Jules... she loved the teacups!
Cute Daddy and Julia shot right? After our initial ride they went back on over and over again... I think all in all it was 3 or 4 teacup rides.. Daddy loved the teacups.. kept begging for more.. ;)

She kept sliding back in forth between the two steering wheels.. I think Jason was about to dive in and rescue her a few times.. she moves pretty fast and it's a little breathtaking..
AHHHHH! Water in the eye! Water in the eye!!!
She loved the kids water park.. we ran back and forth all over trying out all the different fun water exhibits!
The end of a long and 'Adventuresome' day.. heeh.. corny I know..
