I am on the hunt for some fantastic children's books. I've got a pretty good library started so far but am on the hunt to add to it.
My problem? She's everywhere these days!
The tyke cannot sit still and is "Danger Will Robinson, Danger!" when we come anywhere near a piece of paper. Said paper must be torn, shredded, scrumpled and eventually eaten. Now, imagine said child in a bookstore. Need I say more?
So, you, my cherished, loved friends and family! Any suggestions?
A few titles we have already collected and read regularly are:
The Very Hungry Caterpiller - Eric Carle
The Mixed up Chameleon - Eric Carle
The Very busy spider - Eric Carle
The Tickle Monster - Josie Bissett??
Multiple Dr. Seuss books!!!
Where the sidewalk Ends - think the authors last name is Sheldon?
Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes
Moon Girl
I Love you so!
On the Day you were Born(i think this one is by Carol Mendehlson?)
Green as a Bean
A good selection so far but I'd like to make a little list and everyone once in a while, maybe pick a new one up and add to our ever growing collection. Any chance I can talk you into sharing your favorites you have currently or formerly shared with your tykes?
We'd greatly appreciate your help!!
Love, Ang
PS.. did you notice the noodles in her hair??!!!
we are fans of any book that is cardboard. They're still able to eventually eat the book but it takes much longer than the paper pages! Barnes and Noble usually has a good selection of cardboard books. No specific authors, necessarily, just big, bright pictures!
