Week 23.. and how was your Halloween?

Did you see it? Halloween came and went like a poof of lightning trying to keep up with a witches broomstick. I was so excited for it to arrive, and then it did, and then it was gone. Poof, just like that.

We had invited Julia's Grandparents over to enjoy her first Halloween with us at our house. I thought it would be nice to have a little bit of a grub fest, play some games and enjoy the trick or treaters and Julia's costume. Unfortunately, our little pumpkin refused to take any naps throughout the day and was not a happy camper that evening. Lots of tears were shed.. but Nana and Aunt Lakey made up for it in their Halloween costumes!!!

We kept it pretty quiet Halloween week. Grandpa Jack had a birthday and Julia and Jason were able to go out to dinner with him and the family while I slaved away at work. Lucky me right? Oh well, must be happy I have employment right? Yep.

Wednesday the 28th I took Julia into work with me to get my flu shot, only to find out, they canceled it due to lack of supply. So, instead, we spent 45 minutes of everyone oohing and ahing over her adorableness before we headed off to go about our day. I took Julia to daycare and was supposed to go home and clean but found myself itching for my own day of whatnot. So, with my upcoming schedule change and no longer being able to have one of these days to myself again. I did it. Blew off the cleaning and went window shopping. Loved it! Now, if only I had the pocketbook to go along with the love of window shopping. That would be nirvanna!

That Friday, Julia spent the day with her Grandma Diane and Grandpa Jack. Again, I was to clean but got caught up in the search of trying to find a little sweater to go with the dress Daddy bought her this summer to use in her 6 month photos. Since I have found this to be a nearly impossible task I caved and purchased a little sweater that was a wee bit overpriced. At this point though, I'm so tired of looking that I don't care. It's done. Now, it's just the shoes I need to find.

Not much else happened this week. I did get the fantastically fun photos from our Pumpkin patch visit with Mom and Lakey a few weeks ago. Hence the somewhat goofy shots this posting! Hope you got a kick out of them. Mom and I were going through them and came across this one of Julia, her tongue and her ear sticking out. We started laughing so hard we ended up crying. She reminded us both so much of her Uncle Ben with the tongue and her Aunt Lakey with her little fairy ears! I kept saying 'Where is me?' I see Jason, Jack, Lakey and Ben in her features and actions.... but am still searching for me!!!!

Take care,

ang

P.S. When you're in trouble.. do you call a security guard.. or a teenage mutant turtle.. hmm... not sure I'd trust either of these two!!!!
