We hit 37 weeks and it's official. Baby is able to arrive at anytime now and be considered full term. We still want Baby to hold out until the big 'D' day though. This way, the gooey stuff for Baby's lungs will be fully produced and it will keep Baby's lung sacs from sticking together. Other than that, Baby is really just gaining weight and kicking up a storm! I am so excited to meet Baby. I don't know if I treasure the idea of seeing the look on Jason's face when he sees Baby for the first time more or just seeing Baby for the first time. I am so excited to see the love shining out of Jason's eyes that I cannot imagine anything topping it. I'm sure you all will tell me seeing Baby the first time will, but for now..that is my shining moment I want to see.
We finished our last Baby class on Thursday of last week. Whew! Happy we took them and just as happy they are done. There's some scary stuff discussed in those classes along with some really valuable lessons. We were fortunate and for both of the classes we took, Labor and Delivery and Baby Cares, our instructors were personable and kept things moving quickly and interesting.
I had 4 days in a row off, amazing right? Guess what I did? You got it! Slept and slept and slept. My body is adjusting enough now for Baby's arrival, that aches and pains through the night prevent me from getting any really good rest. So...I tend to take catnaps to help make up for it. Thankfully my Hubby keeps an eye on me and makes sure I do get enough rest when I want to push it a bit more...which is about always!
We've pretty much finished up Baby's room. There is just a thing or two to hang, pictures to take and then I'll get them posted for the final nursery posting. I did get really lucky this weekend. I was looking for an ottoman to go along with our rocking chair and ran across an OLD one at a garage sale for $6. So, I thought, for $6 I've got nothing to lose. It was cobwebby, dusty and the fabric stank horribly. I went to a craft store, got some fabric and tried for the first time ever to re-upholster something. It turned out quite alright for me. My corners could have been prettier but for my first attempt, I was pretty happy. I'll post the photos as soon as I get them loaded up to the computer.
That about sums it all up. Hope you had a great weekend!
