Week 31

Well..I had all week off last week. I had these visions of grandeur of everything I was going to get done...and what did I do? I slept. A lot! It seemed as soon as I woke up, I was ready for another nap. Yeesh, a person gets tired of sleeping all the time!

Napping aside, we did have a pretty active week! On Tuesday we had our Dr's appt and found out Baby is still growing strong but currently breech. Not a great thing to hear but not the end of the world either!

On Thursday, my brothers, Ben and Kameron, were able to stop by and help paint Baby's dresser and nightstand. I naively thought a few hours and we'd be done. Wrong! A few hours and we had new holes drilled for the ultra fantastic new knobs I got and 2 coats of paint onto the drawers. We still have to do the body of the dresser and the nightstand. Plus, Jason got to hear the dreaded, 'I think we need to do a semi gloss vs. the satin finish'. I've said it before, bless that man of mine for his patience!

Friday we met with our pediatrician for the first time and we both agree that we like him and feel comfortable entrusting our Baby's care with him. He seems to be a pretty down to earth guy, pretty open-he's not gonna sugar coat things but he's also not going to treat your questions and/or concerns as if they are nothing.

Saturday, Baby and I were the honored recipients of our first baby shower! What fun! Here I was so nervous about being the center of attention and I had nothing to worry about. My friend Heather, who was throwing the shower, had everything set out so nicely and the games set up so smoothly it all flowed beautifully! I hope to have some photos to post next week to share with you all!

Sunday, we went out to dinner with Jason's family to celebrate his Birthday a wee bit early! We went to a little restaurant outside of town and had some yummy grub and some yummier dessert! I just wish I was more daring and tried more dishes other than my favorites. I tend to latch onto what I love and not go outside of the box!

Well, that about sums it up. I guess there may have been a few reasons for all the napping..but still! It just gets frustrating knowing you have limits!! Obviously they've always been there but right now, my body and my husband, refuse to let me push them any further than the minimum allowed!

  1. I'm sure everyone is saying the same thing but enjoy every ounce of sleep you can get now. Soon you won't be able to sleep b/c of one aching pain or another. And when the baby comes... well, you know that part.

I'm so glad the shower was a success! Isn't it fun to be spoiled and celebrated?!
