Julie'isms

Jules vocabulary has gone through the roof this last year and it's been so much fun to see not only her words but her expressions and imagination take flight right along with them.

Sometimes though, a word or two will trip her up, much to Jason and my amusement.. :)

For example, she's recently become enamored with Star Wars after we let her watch it about a month ago. We began with the originals since neither of us is really that into the new ones.

Thinking they might be a bit.. uhm.. well, violent, we were a little concerned at first.

We were so wrong! She is loving Darfur Vader!

Heh, heh.. did you catch that? Nope, not a mistype.. Darfur Vader is Darth Vader coming out of her mouth. Cracks us up every time.

She loves the Ewoks, the shooters, the swords, followed closely by C3PO(which comes out as a jumble but I still have yet to decipher it into a typable word), R2D2 and of course.. Luke.

Luke has become her new invisible sidekick! Luke has a special place in the sandbox, in the baby cradle next to her bed, in her rocking chair, at the dinner table. You name it.. and Luke's there!

She's just now acknowledging the existence of Tom.. uh.. Hans Solo.. Tom.. Hans.. it works.. Princess Leia and Chewbacca. Lots of questions about the Princesses whereabouts the last time we watched it!

She also begins just about every. single. sentence. with either a WHY? or a Well... the why is not so bad, yes tiresome and every time I answer them I have to sit and think.. 'ok.. how did I answer that last time so that I can do the same this time' or.. when she's in trouble there is lots of Well I... Well.. well.. well.. well.. well.. I can't forget the also ever popular 'Come On!' that is typically followed by some sort of hurry up statement or disagreement followed with 'Well'.

Lots of wells a goin' on over here. :)

Needless to say, it's all been humorous and good times minus the inability to hear Mommy instructions such as.. 'lets put away your babies', or 'lets put your dirty clothes in the hamper'.. somehow each of those instructions are followed with a response by her in the form of 'Well, but I like my baby there' or 'Come On Mommy, I want to...'

All of this and I'm still smiling. :)
I can't say it enough,
I LOVE being this kids parent.

Take care,
Angie
