Tree Climbing!

She did it! She climbed a tree! Well.. sort of... I mean.. if you count Mommy hoisting her up there and repeatedly stressing to 'hold on baby!'

Hold on she did too! See, she's got the tree by the 'bark' (ha-ha, more dry Angie humor)! She wasn't letting go either! She was nervous at first but once she realized I wasn't going anywhere she relaxed and wanted to go higher!

We had a playdate with her best friend from daycare a while back. To be safe, since the weather is hit and miss right now her Mother and I decided to meet at the play center in the mall and then take the girls on a carousel ride afterwards.

This gave us the added bonuses of being a)nearly cost free b) allowed Syd's little sister to play also and c) just in case outside of the walls of daycare they clashed.. we could easily distract them with the carousel! Who can't bond over a carousel ride, right?!

Roarrrrr! ROOOOAAARRRRRR!!!! Roaaarrr!!! 'I Get You Mommy!'

The fearless Miss Sydney! She is fearless! Jules is fearless with her too... Breathe Mommy Breathe! A few times Syd began to run... and Jules after.. and they are fast and there is no gate on the play area and the mall was pretty busy that day for some odd reason and both Syd's Mom and I were like AGGHHHHHHH!!!!

Deep breaths Mommy's, Deep breaths.. Thankfully Syd's little sister was too young to join in the running or we may have been going multiple different directions in an attempt to wrangle the monkeys!

Riding the school bus! No running here.. nice little respite for about 65 seconds... :) We had a great time! I wasn't too awkward(meaning I didn't ramble too much) and Sydney's Mom is extremely nice and friendly so hopefully we can get together more often on our days off!

The next day we visited Great Grandpa and Grandma and Jules drug out the bouncy ball they have there. It's this giant ball with a handle that she straddles and bounces on... she loves it! I've thought about getting one for at home but realized it would take away the fun of having one at G-Grandma and G-Grandpas...
Its terribly blurry but this is the bouncy ball.. her hairs flying and the smile on her face is priceless!

Driving Miss Daisy? Heck no, I'm Driving Great Grandpa! Hold on to your hat Great Grandpa!

What? Oh... Those dotted lines on the road dont mean you drive back and forth across them really really fast? Huh. Good to know...

COWS! We've got COWS people! COWS!

She had fun climbing the fence to take a look at them.. scared the bejeebers out of the cows in the process but... I blame it on the situation(they were up for auction the next day), and not the high pitched squeals of delight she was emitting!

A bit later we went to the town park and she climbed the Wicked Witch of the Wests castle.. I'm serious.. granted it's made out of wood but... it is most definately an homage to the Wicked Witches castle in the Wizard of Oz! My pictures do not do it justice but still... check it out:

Here's our first view of the 'castle'.

and another!

and one more! It's so much fun to climb through and over and under and up to the tower turrets! So excited to go back and spend more time there soon!

Right out front of the playground is the infamous yellow brick road.. painted white... Jules is pondering which way to go, hmmmmmmm....

Ah ha! Thataway!

Hugs with Great Grandma.

A hug for Great Grandpa!

The road home.. such a beautiful sky to view on the way...

She tried to fight the sandman by playing with Puppy...

But those eyes were getting so heavy...

In the end, the rolling of the wheels, sleepy time music and Puppy's snuggliness.. she caved and slept.

Happy Weekend!
Love, Ang
