More and More Pictures!!!

Jules and I went on the hunt for curtains a while back for the living and dining rooms. I've grown tired of the lack of privacy our sheers provide and am looking for something a wee bit less, well, sheer. I thought at first I'd make my own but after falling in love with a fabric that is 29.98 a yard and the need for 19.5 yards.. well.. you do the math.. pretty unrealistic love affair that one was. so.. I found some nice alternatives online at Kohl's but once they arrived and were hung, I realized with the Grommets it made them about 4.5" too short.. and nobody likes highwaters.. well.. at least I don't. So.. back to the drawing board we go..

Anyway, while on our journey for privacy, we stopped at the play center in the mall.. Jules had a bit of fun playing and here's some of the snapshots I caught of her:

ZOOOOOOmmmmmmmmmm! Wild child driving!

Tunnel Time!

Driving the bus. She loves the bus. Well, to be honest.. anything with wheels seems to be the height of fantasticness for her!

Hold on Spot, I gotta hit the brakes! SCReeeeCHHHHHHH!

Riding the Carousel. I love this look on her face.

Safari Time!

Helicopeter Ride!

{Heavy breathing}... hewwo?

Yep. I did it.. the three way ponytail. Yep. It was c-u-t-e!

Giggles!

Precious. Oh, so precious.

Daddy and Jules snuggling.

Jules view of play room (don't mind the ugly ceiling fan needing a bad paint job with the spray paints waiting to be used in our garage).

Jules view of bedroom.

Painting heavenly masterpieces!

More paint please?

A Tale to be Told...
The title? Christmas light whoopsie... Most expensive Christmas lights ever at the Runge Household? or.. Jason's first ever adult auto accident and it happened in our own driveway with our own two vehicles? Too long but it just might work....

It all began with our single car driveway, sitting on a hill, located on a really busy street.

The 'story' begins and ends on the day after Thanksgiving. Jason gathered the Christmas lights he needed to decorate the rooftop. He had to get the ladder out of the garage and to do that, he had to pull our cars down to the end of the single car driveway, sitting on a hill, located on a busy street to... a)prevent damage to either cars while taking said ladder out of garage and b)make a clear area to stand ladder to hang said Christmas lights.

No problem. Lights go up with only one minor bulb breakage and it's time to put everything away. He gets into the Pilot to pull the cars back up the driveway. Right about that time, the blind couple that take their daily stroll along our street are approaching and the sidewalk is blocked by our cars, not to mention the 27 lawn and leaf bags sitting on the opposite side of them that are blocking the couple from just going around the front end of the car which would prevent them from having to go into the street. Is the scene forming quickly enough for you?

So. Jason's in the Pilot. Starts her up. She starts rolling backwards when he lets the break off, the blind couple are approaching, traffic is moving as furiously as possible and he hits the gas... hmmm, methink this is where it all goes horribly, horribly wrong. :)

Somehow in the moment of rolling backwards after starting the car and the blind couple and the traffic and what not.. he had placed the Pilot in REVERSE. Yep. Reverse. So. If you know anything about our driveway, to get up it, you have to give the car some gas, a lot of gas from a standing still motion to a forward motion. Unfortunately for Jason.. and my car.. he hit the gas running in reverse. Ka-Boom!

The extremely good news is.. thankfully the blind couple were not injured and eventually made it around the cars and the 27 lawn and leaf bags and will probably never ever ever walk down our street again. Sadly, my car did not fare so well as you can see in the photo below.

Ouch.

This.. is the Big bad Pilot. Not a scratch, dent, nada on her. She's a Pilot alright.. Big, Bad, Pilot. Almost Four grand in repairs to the Accord.. (thanks to our insurance, our out of pocket is waaay less than that).. and in about a week Lady Blue will be beautiful again.

Whew, ok, back to cute Julia picts!

Snow baby! She got bundled up and was so excited to get outside!

Close snow baby.
