Decorating for Christmas!

We are slowly making our traditions with Julia. The first weekend in December we put our tree up and gave it some holiday love with our treasured ornaments.. we also take a trip and visit Santa to get a picture taken with him.

Throughout the month we do a bit of goodie making, present wrapping and a bit more decorating! It seems that we can decorate all the way up to the day.. and then some if we could!

We've also determined to make the Sunday before Christmas our night to go sightseeing and oooh and ahhhhh over the beautiful holiday light decorations out there. The best we saw this year were trees and trees and trees lit up in all different colors. It was magnificent! Jules had learned a new word the night before from Daddy and used it non stop when describing their beauty. The word, or rather words? HOLY COW!

Pretty darn cute to hear it! I don't have any pictures of the lights but I do have a few decorating photos to share. Enjoy!

Jason and Julia decorating the tree. She loves the ornaments that make sounds the best! After this years activity I'll be surprised if they still make noise!

Jason putting the star up... he tried so hard to get it up with Jules help but the top of the tree and the star seemed to have some compatibility issues..

So instead of putting it on, she helped hold the chair still for Daddy while he put it up!

Bakerella-to be.. pardon the nasty yellow color here.. I keep fiddling with the settings to see what works best with our nasty fluorescent lighting in the kitchen.. each time I think I've got it figured out, I have to change the settings to work in another part of the house and then I forget what I had it set on before. I suffer from 2 second attention span syndrome. Things just don't stick in my head anymore!

I told her no more chocolate unless she smiled for me.. this is the look i got...

Bath time!

I hope your holiday preparations are going well! We've been having fun with ours.. it's a bit mis- matched and hodge podged together this year but.. it works.

Take care,
Love ang

P.S. The countdown is on people! 5 more days!!!!

  1. Just last night, as we were driving around looking at Christmas lights, I said holy cow too. Quinn repeated it to daddy later and we all laughed. That is too funny!
