Please allow me to introduce to you.. The Three Musketeers of our family. The Misses Julia, Lexi and Hailey, respectively.
Inseparable when together, bound by the laughter and joy of playing and racing and laughing and playing and running and playing and.. well. I think you get the picture right?
Tell you more you ask? Why certainly! Let me introduce you to the laughter that filled our 4th of July afternoon all day long right into the evening!
Wherever the older two go.. Lexi is right there, staking her claim to play and be a part of the fun! If they happen to move too fast for her.. as they are wont to do... she keeps right on trucking along to catch up! She knows that no matter what they are doing? She wants to be in on it!
You wouldn't guess this from her adorableness but.. she's also a little thief!
Too cute to be a thief you say? Ha! She's got you fooled! She's a smart one our Lexi!
She's learned the best way to get the attention of the other two (especially when you're still getting the whole balancing on 2 legs thing down!)is to snag the toys they are playing with and run.. run... run.. or rather wobble really, really fast!!!
And she can wobble people!
The whole time she's wobbling? Her eyes are dancing in delight and she's growling in triumph! Kid you not! The kid has the most hilarious growl you've ever heard come out of a baby's mouth! She's done it since she was a wee one and has kept at it ever since!
The child does not sit still for a moment and I could not click my camera fast enough (I'm blaming it on my lack of battery charge rather than my skill behind the lens.. ah-hem).
I ended the night with way too many shots of her blond hair flying across the picture. Grrrrrr! The tyke is just so stinking fast!!!!
It's the only full on face shot I have of her though. Every. Other. Single. Shot... she's either looking up.. away.. down.. over here.. and there.. and pretty much everywhere but at me!
I've really got to hone my mad picture taking skills. Insert big deep sigh here.. :)
She laughed.. and laughed.. and laughed. I was happy to see that even when her older cousin, Hailey, was off doing her own thing.. she was just as happy to play with Lexi as she was to play with Hailey. I realize this was not the case all the time.. sometimes when you see someone flying like Hailey does.. you want to be right there flying with them.. but at times, she stuck right next to Lexi when she didn't want to fly. It was nice to see she's ok doing her own thing.
Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July. I know we did!
God Bless this land of ours and the ones who help keep it safe for you and me.
