October... did you have to leave so soon?

I am so excited for when October arrives and am always so sad when it goes. We had some great times this year. Yes, yes, I know, we lost a game to Texas.. but as you'll soon see, Jules and I more than made up for that sad day by having a blast painting!

Jason and I held our annual pumpkin carving late one evening. You'll get to see the victims of that challenge too..

Jules also had fun discovering our piano this month and belts out .. uhm.. dare I call them tunes?.. she's even got the knack of playing with her elbows.. now if she could just balance without falling over she might be able to work a toe or a heel in there somewhere too!

We had some cute times outside. There's a park nearby that we are able to walk to and she's learned that not only are slides fun.. but they are even better going down them face first. Big smiles. BIG. BIG. Smiles. Mommy meanwhile was standing there trying to shove her heart back down her throat and not freak ecstatic kid out by screaming OH. MY. G*D. STOP!!!!!!!

On a tamer note, we got to see my friend Melissa and her little ones.. well they're not so little anymore. I tell you, Adam, her husband, is gonna be one busy Daddy keeping the boys at bay. Hannah is growing into such a beautiful young lady!

Jules and I got creative one night and built a fort out of the afghan my Grandma Mach made me when I was a kid. She LOVED it!

We made some cupcakes, took a bath in the kitchen sink due to some unfortunate bathtime incidents and attended the Halloween celebration at daycare.

Without further ado.. here we go!

See.. I told you she painted....

I just didn't say it was herself.. we're working on it..

The Pumpkins.. aka... our victims...

The bruiser... Love you Baby!

The pretties!

.. didn't want to miss the Charlie Brown Pumpkin!

Tiny fingers dancing along the piano keys...

Playing at the park.. big smiles!

The cupcake bandit has struck! Uhmmmmm...

Remember I mentioned a fort?

I put up the blanket.. and she dragged her little table under the blanket, over the rug..

..and was so happy under there!

Halloween at daycare!

Bathtime in the sink after the unmentionable incident in the bathtub.... again.

I hope your October was as fantastic as ours was. I look forward to being blessed with another one next year.

Hold tightly onto the days coming up, for they will pass so soon. Thanksgiving is creeping up on us and Christmas quickly behind it.

This year, I don't want to stress and fret so I'm going to just take it easy. I really want to do it simple and full of peace and happiness. I hope to have all of my family near and my home bursting at the seams with their joy and I wish you the same.

Love, Ang
