Did somebody say Sesame Street Live?

Why yes, yes they did! Grandma and Grandpa Jack treated Jason, Julia and I with tickets to go see the great big furry characters live on Sunday the 24th.

We had a blast! Julia's eyes were so big! I was concerned it would be too loud and dark but she watched, bounced, danced, talked... and then, well, she slept. Yep. We had seats nearly front and center, the loud speaker coming straight at us and my angel decided about 25 minutes or so into the show that she was tired and cuddled right on up to Mom and slept the rest of the way through the performances!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Jack for the wonderful gift!!!

We've been keeping ourselves occupied.

The Saturday before Sesame Street Live, Julia, Lakey and I road tripped down to Hastings to visit Mom for the day. Nana spoiled the dickens out of us! She made our ultimate family favorite, beef stroganoff, for lunch and afterwards, she, Julia and I headed out to do a little shopping while Aunt Lakey went to her Grandmother's celebration party!

At the store, I was only going to pick up new windshield wipers.. but, a cute Valentine's Day outfit found it's way into the cart, a few items for making our 1 year birthday invites made it into the cart, a book and well, Mom found another cute outfit for her so we had to add that one into the cart as well. Before we knew it, we had done a fairly good retail therapy session!

Last Friday, Julia and I were to head out to Grandma and Grandpa's in Kansas but.. due to some unfortunate incidents in the kitchen.. do I dare say flood 1 and flood 2? and some congestion on Julia's part, we decided we'd best take the signs God is giving us and stay home! So, we did and snuggled all day long. Poor tyke, she's been fighting the never ending cold it seems.

That about sums the last 2 weeks up. Aye me! I almost forgot! She started saying Da DA just a few days after my last post! Jason was so excited!!! Unfortunately, I haven't heard a Mama since!!!!

Take care and all my love!

Angie

  3. Cute right? Mom had picked it up in Hastings for her and tried to describe it to me many times.. could not picture it for the life of me! Now I love it, we even had her 9 month photos taken in it!

I noticed too, we have some similar toys! Julia got the 'dancing' penguin for Christmas.. Does he frighten Quinn any when he bounces back and forth yelling 'whoooaaooohhhh'? Julia and quite a scare when he came rushing back at her after she pounded him a good one!!
