19 weeks and counting!

Another fun fantastic week flew by! On Monday we went in for Julia's 4 month check up and shots. She's at 15lbs and 2oz, 24 1/2" long and her noggin.. well, it's big! Doc said all was good but surprised us by saying he does not think the two white spots in her mouth that we thought were teeth, are teeth. He suggested instead that they are oral cysts. He talked about them a bit but I'm afraid my mind went blank. My only comfort was, Jason was listening and not panicking so that meant she was ok. Silly of me, I know.

Wednesday, Uncle Ben was in town for a visit and we went out to lunch with him, Aunt Lakey and Grandpa. Afterwards Julia went to daycare and I had my free day to do with as I pleased. I'd been waiting for the temps to drop to just right so that I may begin replanting our hostas out front. Well, the temps were just right so I dug them up, with Ben's help and Lakey's supervision! I had almost all of them laid out just right but a few of them were tripping me up. Thankfully Ben was there to help me out and back into the ground they went!

Friday evening we met up with my friend Melissa. She and her family were in town from Des Moines for the weekend and we were able to spend some time together. It was a great seeing everyone and Julia was so patient being passed around. The only one who didn't get to hold her was their little by Sam but he was right there talking to her and telling us all about his Leapfrog! Is it too soon to get Julia one? Anyway, I also got to see her 'little' girl Hannah. My goodness! Time flies by so fast!! It seems like she was just a little chunky monkey the other day and now she's growing up and she's such a beauty! I had to do a double take when I saw her for she's grown so much I thought for a moment she was Melissa's cousin Natalie and she's in her twenties! Silly how an image stays in your mind and you think someone is going to look exactly as they did the last time you saw them!

Saturday, Julia and I took it easy. We stayed around the house and picked up. She's still been struggling with sinus issues, the same ones we were having problems with a month ago. Our pediatrician doesn't think it's anything to worry over though, he has said it can take 3-4 weeks before it goes away. I just feel bad for the rugrat, she gets so congested and hates having her nose sucked clean. 'Course, I don't think I'd appreciate it either but still, it's got to be done so she can breathe.

Sunday was our big ta-do of the week. Our first family outing! We went to the Rocaberry Pumpkin Patch Farm. The photos I've got posted this week are from that adventure. We went on an Enchanted Hayrack ride, which Julia happily slept through the first half of! We explored the pumpkin fields searching for the one pumpkin that was just right for each of us, headed back to the main farm and toured the grounds there. All in all, a pretty root tootin good time! Julia got to go with her Daddy into the petting zoo and made friends with one of the goats. She was such a trooper too! We kept thinking she was going to breakdown and demand food halfway through it all but she was so absorbed in all the activity, I think she kinda forgot about food!

That's about it! I could go on and on about the pumpkin patch but I think I summed it up pretty well. We had a blast and I am so looking forward to next year when she will be more actively involved!

Hope all is well with everyone! Take care and stay warm!

Love, Ang
