Week 6

She talks!!! Well, more of a quiet cooing but she's doing it! It seems each week we've hit her birthday anniversary, she hits a new milestone! This week is cooing. I've been trying to get a video of it to post but so far..I've been too enamored listening to her to think of getting the camera before she's done. One of these days!!!

We've had a busy week. Last Sunday we had her 1 month photos taken. I'm so excited to see them! She was soo good! Awake and alert the whole time and hardly fussed at all. I think the little fussing she did was just fatigue from the flashing lights and blind spots! She did pooh on Sophia's(our photographer) backdrop but she(Sophia) was a trooper about it. We went ahead and purchased the rights to the photos so that we can pass the disc around and everyone can print off what they'd like. Here's to the next few weeks of patience waiting for the proofs to come our way!

Mom was up last weekend also. We had to do a little shoe shopping for her big debut to Boot Camp on Monday. She also has the fun task of learning how to use her new cell phone. I am dreading the day we'll need to replace ours. They just keep getting more and more snazzy...I just don't seem be getting snazzier and snazzier though so I'm a bit intimidated by what's out there! Oh well.

On Wednesday, Julia and I had our first 'playdate'! My friend Hilary was in town with her daughter, Quinn, and we were able to meet up for lunch. Did I remember to bring our camera? Of course not!!! The first time I see Hil in 2 years and I forget my camera!!! Go figure! It was really good to see her and see Quinn for the first time. That baby girl has such sparkling eyes and the biggest grin! Such a cutie!

I am sure I have more to share but right now, I'm rushing. Miss. Julia seems to think this week that naptime means sleeping in Moms' arms. Anywhere else just is not good enough so naps last for about 10-15 minutes, if that! I'm starting to get a sneaky feeling that she's figuring out ways to get Mom to do what she wants and not necessarily what Mom wants to do. The good news about that though, is, I've learned how to speed clean this week so what normally takes hours...minutes!! Maybe not as pristine but at least it's clean!

More good news, Jason was playing with her the other morning and she rolled over...and he is wise enough to have the camera ready at all times..unlike me. So, here is a shot of our little girl, rolling over!!! Enjoy!

Take care!!!

***ok, I've tried loading the video of her rolling over multi times w/ no success. Fellow bloggers, if you have suggestions on how to upload, please share your tips and tricks!!!

  1. I can't believe I didn't get a picture either! ugh!!!
As for posting video, I've learned to film blog video on the lowest setting (i.e. a bit grainy). It's the only way it'll upload for me. And I do that on my little digital camera, not the big honcho we bought for filming the baby in the first place!
